Last winter we asked our landlord to mount 40 solar panels on the roof of our premises. Solar panels have become a very profitable investment, but apart from that we strongly believe that all companies should strive to minimize their ecological footprint where possible.
Yesterday we finally got some rain in The Netherlands, after an unusual 40 days of non-stop sun. That sun brought us 2.5 MWh of electricity in May! In total we have already avoided 3500 kg of CO2 this year, which is said to be equal to planting 95 trees. It looks like we will have a net null withdrawal of electricity this year.
