Alpha Audio published an overview of ‘defining gear of the 2010-2020 era’. Under the category “loudspeakers” Yung Lie writes:
“Active speakers were reserved for the studio world until 2010. We have seen the active speaker systems slowly gain ground this decade. Surprisingly, in the high end segment there are many Dutch companies: Kii, dutch & dutch and for us the non plus ultra: the Grimm LS1be.
It led to one of the more impressionistic reviews from the Alpha collection and that is because the editor in question was simply overwhelmed by emotions when listening to this set. And after all, that’s what it’s about, right? We can be proud that we have companies in the Netherlands that make these types of innovative products.”
