Alpha Audio: “We could not stop listening to the PW1”

April 30, 2025

The Dutch online hifi magazine Alpha Audio checked out the PW1 phono stage. Jaap Veenstra writes that they rarely spent so much time on a review. The reason: “we simply couldn’t stop listening to music!”. His conclusion is clear:

“Well… what else can we say, except that this phono pre-amp is extremely addictive. You just don’t want to stop listening to music. And that really is the biggest compliment we can give. The Grimm PW1 is truly a magical device that lets us experience again what this hobby is all about: music, emotion… being touched by the art that connects us. Alpha Approved!”

This is a fantastic phonostage, both transistor-quiet and valve-warm.
