Hijikata Hisaaki of Audio Accessory magazine had the premiere of a MU2 review in Japan. And he was very much impressed. He admired the looks – as did his photographer, judging on the beautiful picture he took. But even more, he loved the sound:

It has a density and warmth like with analog playback. The texture of the instruments is of high quality and the vocals are excellent. Also, the signal-to-noise ratio is high, and the spatial rendering is very clear. The music is musically inviting, but more than that, it is artistically expressive.
My test drive left a strong impression on me, it was an experience filled with emotion. The MU2 is a piece of equipment that will bring a breath of fresh air to any playback system. The sound, whith the increasingly popular Roon system as source, is top-notch. I consider its performance at the forefront of audio equipment.”
